Serenade for Strings by Beethoven
Less than ten years separate Beethoven's Serenade for String Trio Op. 8 from Mozart's Divertimento for String Trio K.563. These two classical geniuses, in their twenties, composed these masterpieces for violin, viola, and cello, showcasing exceptional scope: six movements for the Divertimento, seven for the Serenade. Achieving the perfect balance and complexity of major quartets or quintets, the two pieces will be performed under the expertise of three musicians from the Orchestre national de Metz Grand Est: Émilien Hu, Étienne Linet, and Quentin Sanchez.
