Pinocchio, the talking pine log imagined by Carlo Collodi, inspired Sofia Nappi for this new choreography. In "Pupo," a troupe of 7 dancers demonstrates their energy: the dance pulses with a bubbling tempo, the physical commitment is unconditional, and the muscles twitch as if controlled by the strings of a virtuoso puppeteer. Having worked on Hofesh Shechter's shows and been a regular guest of international companies (Nederlands Dans Theater, Scottish Dance Theatre…), the Italian choreographer asks: how can we, as adults, reconnect with the impulsive and joyful essence of our childhood?
