We have been writing the history of the festival since 1953...
…and are thus the oldest festival in Luxembourg. We certainly don't rest on this wealth of tradition, but always allow cultural diversity to flourish. The Wiltz Festival has thus established itself as a globally open brand: We welcome theater and operetta premieres as well as big names in pop and jazz culture, avant-garde art formats, and national cross-productions who appreciate an intimate setting knowing that the Wiltz Festival is a collaborative partner at their side. In addition to the impressive main setting of Wiltz Castle, new locations are regularly chosen for the festival, which also attract new audiences. Wiltz thus remains a place of encounters and discoveries – and always worth a trip. Did you know? The picturesque little town in the north of Luxembourg has long succeeded in attracting legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Melody Gardot, Passenger, and Morcheeba. This is how each summer festival enters the history of music in the Grand Duchy.
