Issa, a young Eritrean left for dead in the 'jungle' of Calais, has lost his memory. With his passport being the only tangible element of his past, he embarks on a long and challenging journey to obtain a residence permit, accompanied by companions in misfortune. Author's note: "I couldn't write without humor. For example, in 'A Love Story', there is also a lot of it, even when discussing death, cancer, etc. I always need comedy to defuse situations; otherwise, I feel moralistic, dogmatic. I need not to take myself too seriously to convey messages and provoke thought. My intention is always to ensure that the audience experiences emotion." - Alexis Michalik
