The Musée Dräi Eechelen is taking part in the European Month of Photography Biennial for the first time, exhibiting a new project by Luxembourg artist Yann Tonnar as part of the 10th edition. The project is based on a series of composite images inspired by nine lithographs by Jean-Baptiste Fresez (1800-1867), published in 1828-1829 under the title "Vues de Luxembourg". These emblematic panoramas of the city of Luxembourg have left their mark on the collective unconscious, so omnipresent are they in the historical representation of the capital. Over time, these views have acquired a nostalgic, even romantic patina, evoking a certain image of the capital 'in the days of the fortress'.
