Participants are invited to engage with locally collected clay while listening to stories about the forests and landscapes from which the material originates. This experience, informed by personal narratives, forms the basis for creating three-dimensional objects inspired by memory and imagination. Together, these works form a map through clay – a materialization of shared experience and a symbolic space for connection.

Dijana Engelmann is a visual artist who graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Split. Her work, often involving clay and participatory formats, explores the relationship between material, memory, and narrative. Rooted in sculpture and expanded through installations and collective processes, her work engages with embodied experience, the poetics of place, and issues of identity and displacement.

Dijana Engelmann lives between Luxembourg and Croatia. She undertakes projects using local materials such as clay from southern Luxembourg and will participate in the residence at Bridderhaus in Esch-sur-Alzette in autumn 2025.
