The German Gents are a vocal quartet from Berlin, formed in 2018 by singers from the Berlin State and Cathedral Choirs (Staats- und Domchor). Their first major success came at the a cappella competition in Leipzig in May 2019, where they won first prize, the audience award, and two special prizes.
With their unique sound, the German Gents perform American classics from the 50s and 60s as well as the most beautiful German songs from the Roaring Twenties at their concerts.
With charm and creativity, they contrast modern pop songs with romantic male choral singing, reflecting their classical roots while embracing their youth. The quality of their individual voices, the richness of their harmony, and the infectious emotion of their performances captivate the audience.
Currently, the German Gents are invited by many renowned concert organizers and festivals, such as Musica Bayreuth, Rheingau Musik Festival, Konzerthaus Berlin, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern or the Live from London Christmas Festival, and are hailed as a rising star of the a cappella scene.
