'The Lower World' is the exceptional sound exhibition, opened specifically as part of LUGA (Luxembourg Urban Garden) 2025! Located under the Pétrusse bridges, a whole other world awaits you…
A few steps into the Pétrusse Valley, then opposite the beautiful Entrance A of the Aquatunnel - No. 55 on the interactive map - (button below), your ticket already in your pocket... You go down a few steps and there you are under the city, plunged into the heart of the immersive installation! Please note that there are two entrances and you can also arrive via Entrance B - No. 37.
As a side note, internationally renowned sound artist Suzan Philipsz drew inspiration from the myth of Melusine for this creation, playing on the tunnel's natural acoustics. She succeeded in transforming this historic underground passage into a beautiful "silent sound immersion" combining sounds and emotions.
After your independent crossing, you will arrive in the Pfaffenthal, a stone's throw from the elevator! We strongly advise you to extend your LUGA walk with the installations located nearby (28 - Solum, 44 - LUGA Art Trail...). And ABOVE ALL (our favorite): take the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg funicular, the Passerelle des Arts towards the MUDAM to discover "The Living Pyramid", the evolving work, designed as a monumental flowering plant garden.
