Discover our first temporary exhibition in collaboration with the "Lenoir Foundation": Full combustion: "The evolution of the engine through time". Dive into the heart of human ingenuity and discover the very first combustion engine in history, "the Lenoir engine", as well as the various types of engines: 2-stroke, 4-stroke, diesel, and many more. The Luxembourg-born Étienne Lenoir, inventor of the Lenoir engine, sparked the automotive revolution, inspiring the Otto engine used commonly in today's vehicles. Additionally, the exhibition showcases the first vehicle registered in Luxembourg and a model of the "Daimler Reitwagen". Explore the history of different engines and the renowned automotive pioneers such as Étienne Lenoir, Nicolaus Otto, Carl Benz, Gottlieb Daimler, and Rudolph Diesel, who changed the way we travel today. An intriguing journey into the development of mobility awaits enthusiasts and combustion engine admirers.
