On a stage lined with LED screens, neon lights, and video projections, eight acrobats dissect our insatiable appetite for entertainment with striking precision. In a screen-saturated society, where self-curation is the norm, what remains truly authentic? What do we choose to reveal, and what is reflected back through others' gaze? These questions are at the heart of 'The Mirror', a collective cabaret that combines playfulness with incisiveness and profound humanity. Integrating dizzying lifts, entwined human forms, cutting-edge electro rhythms, live vocals, and breathtaking acrobatics, the Australian company Gravity & Other Myths crafts ephemeral living tableaux that form and dissolve in the blink of an eye – akin to an endless stream of images without a beginning or an end. From start to finish: utterly exhilarating.
