The misadventures of a film crew during the shooting of a low-budget independent film.
"A nightmarish vision of independent filmmaking: DiCillo displays a delightful cynicism and a devastating sense of humor. Not content with ironizing about the world of the 7th Art in general and the snobbish fashions of the Hollywood industry in particular, the filmmaker allows himself to take a swipe at filmmakers like Tarantino or David Lynch and his Twin Peaks. Despite a tenuous plot and editing limited to splicing sequences end to end, Living in Oblivion is a very successful comedy which, beyond the usual exaggeration, allows us to better appreciate the obstacles encountered during the production of a low-budget film."
