Based on the visual concept of the garden "Le chant de l’Alzette," Hüseyin Evirgen and Ela Baumann make the chant of the Alzette audible and visible. What does the sound of the tortured Alzette resemble after its path through cities, over over-fertilized fields, and through purification stations—pursued, purified, then polluted again? A hesitant dance over stones, an eternal path—restless yet constant in its journey. The sounds of the Alzette form the basis of a symbiosis between the hurdy-gurdy, electronics, and pulsating rhythms. Through the decomposition, dubbing, and fluid movements of the sound, the river comes to life. Singing, lamenting, crying, the shadow of the Alzette wanders among the beings it nourishes, constantly moving, an endless river of sound.
