The film was selected for competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2001. It tells the story of a Taiwanese watch salesman who, after watching François Truffaut's "The 400 Blows," meets a young woman about to leave for Paris. He becomes infatuated with her and starts setting all the clocks in Taipei to Paris time.
