'Blues Impact' promises a contemporary blues sound that unfolds its power with vigor. Influences from jazz, funk, rock, and soul are embraced without hesitation but with great skill and sensitivity. The group primarily presents their own compositions in a modern blues style. Additionally, they give musical reinterpretations to covers without compromising their essence. And oh, how the four members master the blues feeling! Jochen Lauer's deep and entrancing bass accompanies Thomas Wainer's lead guitar, sometimes fiery, sometimes plaintive. Fritz Scheerer's voice sings with authentic blues style, only to powerfully express pain and passion moments later. The singer breathes life into the harmonica with emotion and soul. Finally, Daniel Weber on drums consistently surprises with his nuanced playing and creative variations on traditional blues patterns.
