The Municipality of the 'Cité Martyre' invites you to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the strike by decorating your homes with the national flag and attending the religious service and ceremony at the National Strike Monument.
Good to know
Program :
- 9:30 a.m.: Religious service at the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul.
- 11:00 a.m.: Bells ring and sirens sound for 5 minutes. Flowers are laid in front of the commemorative plaque of the former IDEAL tannery.
- 11:15 a.m.: Speech and laying of flowers at the National Monument to the Strike. Ringing of the Dead.
