Step into the fascinating world of Celtic metalworking! On September 7th, the Biodiversum will transform into an Iron Age forge. Discover how the Celts refined metals and the role of fibulae in clothing and jewellery.
What awaits you:
- Live demonstrations of Iron Age forging and casting techniques.
- Refinement and decoration of metals.
- "Fibula knowledge" - learn about the forms, uses, and history of Celtic pins.
- Children's activities and hands-on participation in Iron Age Celtic crafts.
The Living History group Projekt Latène and a master blacksmith will be on-site for the entire day. Ask questions, try techniques, and experience craftsmanship as it was over 2000 years ago.
