. Cycle from Luxembourg train station (in front of the police station) to Larochette Castle (approximately 33 km).
2. Picnic in the parking area of Larochette Castle. Admission to the castle is optional and costs 7 euros for those who wish. Those opting for the shorter distance (33 km) can take a bus back to Luxembourg City from Larochette.
3. Continue by bike from Larochette Castle to Diekirch (approximately 20 km). Those opting for the medium distance (53 km) can take a return train to Luxembourg City from Diekirch.
4. Cycle from Diekirch to Mersch station (approx. 18 km).
Maintaining an average speed of 18 km/h and allowing a total stopping time of 90 minutes (including one hour for the picnic), we can complete this hike in 5 hours and 30 minutes.
**Practical information:**
- There are frequent trains and buses from Mersch to Luxembourg City and other destinations.
- Bring a bike in excellent condition, energy snacks, plenty of fluids to stay hydrated, and picnic supplies.
