This class, inspired by traditional dances from West Africa, offers a dynamic and progressive learning experience through across-the-floor exercises and the creation of a collective choreography. The class includes:
- Step-by-step learning of traditional West African dances.
- Rhythmic exploration through movement sequences and travel steps.
- Live musical accompaniment (djembe, dundun, balafon) or recorded music.
- A blend of influences, including the Acogny Technique (École des Sables – Senegal), traditional and urban West African dance styles.
- Adaptability to suit the group’s age, level, and expectations.
- Indoor or outdoor practice, depending on conditions and needs.
Open to everyone, from complete beginners to more experienced dancers, with a teaching approach tailored to participants’ levels and backgrounds.
