From September 29 to October 3, architect and skateboarder Tun Kintzele will host a practical workshop focusing on the creation of concrete skate modules at the old abattoir in Hollerich. During these sessions, you will discover all fabrication steps: concrete preparation and mixing, pouring into specially designed molds, shaping, and finishing surfaces to create skate-appropriate modules. Each participant will have hands-on experience and contribute to the construction of the skatespot, experimenting with techniques used by skateboarders and architects to transform raw concrete into playful and functional obstacles. The workshop emphasizes creativity, collaborative work, and the DIY spirit, essential values of skate culture. By the end of the week, a real skatespot will have taken shape, built in the raw and underground spirit of the skate scene. Organized by the City of Luxembourg in collaboration with the Skateboard Club Luxembourg, the event celebrates the essence of skate culture: creativity, DIY energy, and the freedom to ride. Whether you are a skater, artist, or simply curious, come build, skate, create, and meet the community!
