World Premiere. What do walls have to tell us? What stories do they hold? Seeking the source, the essence of these stories. Investigating. Restoring their memories. Superimposing our perspective, our writing, our theater.

Face de mur and L’autre face, two characters, seek to understand the origin of marks on the wall. They work to rebuild what has been destroyed, stone by stone, crafting, patching, and connecting. Depending on their perspective, they perceive different aspects. Voices echo from various countries, creating a soundscape that narrates the memories they have traversed. Face de mur and L’autre face listen to these voices, transforming their perception of reality to construct a legend that leads them to a new path.

From Lebanon to Luxembourg, through France, Charlotte Escamez and Laure Roldan have explored walls filled with traces: words, drawings, messages, signs, holes, scars, impacts, cracks... These walls, sometimes made of flesh and bones, bear witness to unofficial stories. They carry the voices of ordinary heroes often left unheard. Listening attentively allowed them to translate these stories into theater.
