As part of the exhibition "Luxemburger Bundeskontingent. Militär und Gesellschaft im 19. Jahrhundert":
Lecture by Claude D. Conter, director of the National Library of Luxembourg (BNL).
In the 19th century, literature and the military were two seemingly distinct worlds. However, Prussian soldiers indeed published poems, such as in the Luxemburger Wochenblatt. Luxembourgers in service for the Netherlands also edited poetry collections. This lecture will explore how young literature reacted to the presence of Luxembourg in the military context and society during the 19th century.
