Capturing time through photography (ages 9-12)
As part of the "Five Hours, Fifty Days, Fifty Years" exhibition by artist David Claerbout, artist and photographer Neckel Scholtus leads a creative photography workshop for school groups exploring a central question: how can time be captured in a photograph? Inspired by David Claerbout's works, where boundaries between photography, film, and perception of time dissolve, the workshop invites students to experiment with long exposure to make movements and changes visible. The camera thus becomes an instrument to visually experience temporal processes.
