The Cinémathèque is hosting a cycle dedicated to Orson Welles, a mythical and eclectic figure in modern cinema. As a director, actor, screenwriter, producer, and occasional magician, Welles was a tireless creator, constantly pushing the boundaries of cinematic language. His first feature, "Citizen Kane" (1941), revolutionized cinematic grammar with its narrative daring and creative freedom. The cycle also explores two late films by Welles, rarely shown, and his experimental short film "The Hearts of Age" (1934), already revealing his creative genius. An invitation to delve into the universe of this visionary artist.
