JackDupon is a progressive/experimental rock project based in Clermont-Ferrand, active since 2004. Their music is born from a singular process: daily hours spent together discovering sounds that don't exist yet, until the pieces reveal themselves.
Digested and transformed influences: the energy of Primus, the raw sensuality of Morphine, the freedom of Zappa, the audacity of Prince. The result: an unclassifiable and weirdly sexy sound, both sophisticated and instinctive.
Journey: ten self-produced albums, tours in 17 countries (Europe, North America), presence in reference festivals of the genre - Zappanale (Germany), ProgDay (USA), Rock in Opposition (France), FIMAV (Canada). Recognized on the French contemporary music scene (Coopérative de Mai, l'Antirouille, Abattoirs).
Toucan (2024): first album in trio formation. A new configuration that reveals the essence of the band - maximalist minimalism, natural complexity, intact energy after twenty years of existence.

Originally started as Carlo Nogo around the Year 2010, the project was renamed Spanish Castle in 2022, then Spanish Caztle in 2024, to closer match what it is about, namely rocking guitar-oriented instrumental songs, as well as hinting at the artist's musical hero, Jimi Hendrix.
Since 2016, the project has found its way online, as 11 EPs and 2 singles have already been released on Bandcamp.
What used to be stylistically free-form in the early years has since then morphed into a fixation on 70s/80s hard-rock, 90s alternative and punk with some progressive and ethnic incursions… all in a pleasing, accessible package!
Spanish Caztle had a modest live debut in July 2024 and is now ready to hit the stages!!!
