Sam Erpelding's residency spanned two months in Luxembourg, collaborating with the University of Luxembourg and Casino Display, followed by two months at the Taiwan Sound Lab in C-Lab, Taipei. The exhibition "To the Dead Poplar / To the Old Beech Tree" arises from this first phase, exploring various temporal aspects connected to his doctorate at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität and interactions at Casino Display.
The event highlights ecoacoustic sound installations dealing with concepts of "natural silence" and bat vocalizations, incorporating compositional strategies derived from field recordings. Free entry.
