In ECHO, a new actor takes to the stage at each performance, with no idea what awaits them. Without rehearsal or preparation, the theatrical text becomes their guide as they journey through the story of Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour (internationally renowned for his play White Rabbit Red Rabbit, produced in over 20 languages since 2010), seemingly connected live from his apartment in Berlin—if that's truly where he is. Fusing technology and sleight of hand, ECHO is a magical theatrical experience that allows us to adopt the perspective of an immigrant in time. With this ambitious and eco-conscious production in the age of climate emergency, a true theatrical odyssey where no one travels, but everyone can be present, the Italian-Palestinian director Omar Elerian transcends the limitations of sight-reading.
