Jules Vernes' "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" remains one of the masterpieces of science fiction literature. Storyteller and theater educator Betsy Dentzer and musician Chris Reitz are going on a reading tour, stopping in several cities in Luxembourg to take you on a journey following Captain Nemo and his mysterious submarine, the Nautilus. On December 2nd, the Lëtzebuerg City Library invites to this unique form of inclusive reading at Konviktsgaart – Résidence Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte. The aim is to experience Jules Verne's famous work in a new way and at the same time to learn more about the so-called "Simple Language," a standard language form originally developed for people with learning difficulties. Betsy Dentzer vivifies the thrilling adventures surrounding Nemo and his crew with great expressiveness, accompanied musically by Chris Reitz and his electric violin, creating an immersive atmosphere. This event is exclusively reserved for residents of Konviktsgaart and participants of the City of Luxembourg's Senior Services. No external reservations available.
