In December 1980, the musical "Hopp Marjänn" was performed at the municipal theatre by the Compagnons de la Scène, directed by Claude Fritz with choreography by Christiane Eiffes and musical direction by Pierre Nimax Senior. Written by Pol Pütz, it tells the story of a young laundry worker from Pfaffenthal coming to the city. With over 10,000 spectators, this production remains among the group's greatest successes, though the ensemble no longer exists. Over 45 years later, the Mersch theatre presents a revival with music by the Luxembourg Army, conducted by Lt-Col Jean-Claude Braun, and artists such as Esther Conter, Adrien Papritz, and Liss Walisch.
