With their unique and captivating blend of electronica, saudade, and alternative pop with global influences, Ão has quickly become one of the most exciting groups on Belgium's rich and diverse music scene. Singer Brenda Corijn, drawing on her Mozambican-Portuguese roots, sings in both Portuguese and English. Her melodious voice blends seamlessly with the southern guitar sounds of Siebe Chau, the electronic textures of Jolan Decaestecker, and the eclectic percussion of Bert Peyffers. Live, this quartet delivers an immersive and breathtaking experience, captivating audiences across Europe. Their dynamic sound, ranging from delicate and intimate melodies to danceable rhythms, has taken them to a wide variety of festivals, from electronic to rock, world, and jazz stages. They are currently working on their second album, slated for release in 2026.
