"Antonio Vivaldi was Metal before electricity," wrote a fan – and this extraordinary concert is living proof.
The "red-haired priest" was not only the composer of the legendary "Four Seasons," but also a true musical pioneer whose works overflow with energy, virtuosity, and emotional intensity. With "Vivaldi vs Iron Maiden", the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester (SKO) and soloist Daniel Sepec unite two worlds: baroque masterpieces and the iconic anthems of the British cult band Iron Maiden. Austrian violinist Bernie Mallinger arranges legendary Metal hits especially for the SKO, fusing sharp riffs, wild percussion, and dizzying bass solos with baroque brilliance. Heavy Metal at its best—Vivaldi would have loved it!
SKO, one of the most versatile chamber orchestras in the world, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, bridging tradition and modernity.
