The Biergerbühn, run by the Independent Little Lies collective, is a long-term, community-based theatre project. Non-professionals and professionals of different ages, languages, and backgrounds come together through theatre. Directors Elsa Rauchs and Claire Wagener invite you to witness an evolving and collaborative artistic practice that fosters dialogue between realities often kept separate. In The Stranger Song, languages and perspectives intertwine to explore how to "build community." But also how to "make space." For the other, for all that resists within us, for our inconsolable need for belonging. Between the lines of translation, the untranslatable emerges. A theatre of pure presence, vulnerability, and joy that reclaims the hidden power of welcome.
