A Japanese animated film directed by Isao Takahata, released in 1988. It tells the story of Seita and Setsuko, two young Japanese siblings living during the final days of World War II. Separated from their parents during an American firebombing raid, they must rely on each other to survive. Based on the short story by Akiyuki Nosaka.
