Sundays at the Museum!
Discover the Audun-le-Tiche Archaeological Museum, situated in a deconsecrated former Protestant temple, featuring collections from the Pays-Haut Mosellan region.
You will uncover outstanding finds from the Merovingian necropolis excavations in Audun-le-Tiche (listed as Historic Monuments), as well as an impressive collection of Gallo-Roman statues (heads of Minerva and Sirona, Jupiter Cavalier with anguiped, Apollo, etc.).
A unique artifact with strong symbolism, the Latin cross pattée (also listed as a Historic Monument), is also on display.
The exhibition space, spread over 300 m² in 6 rooms (including a projection), covers eras from the Paleolithic to the witch trials of the 16th century and the founding of the famous Boch faience factory in Audun-le-Tiche in 1748.
