Marc Chaussidon: The threat from meteorites is low in the short term, as large impacts are very rare, but it exists in the long term. The scientific community constantly monitors the sky and works on deflection methods to protect the planet from a future collision.
Marc Chaussidon is a renowned geochemist and cosmochemist, director of the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP).
Michel Cathelineau: Lithium – the Échassières and Alsace deposits. The Échassières project is an underground mine, while the Alsace project uses geothermal brine, two distinct approaches to lithium extraction in France.
Michel Cathelineau is a French geologist, research director at CNRS.
Event organized by the Institut Grand-Ducal – Section des Sciences in collaboration with the BnL.
