Thinking about genocide: legal, political and historical perspectives
An interdisciplinary round table will bring together three specialists to discuss the complex issues related to genocide. This event aims to explore the legal foundations, political implications, and historical constructions of this crime, whose contemporary resonances remain particularly relevant.
Speakers: Valérie Rosoux (political scientist, expert in conflict mediation and memory), Michel Erpelding (lawyer, specialist in international law and human rights), and Vincent Duclert (historian, author of major works on genocides and state responsibilities).
This round table is intended for researchers, students, legal professionals, policymakers, and anyone interested in understanding mass violence and possible responses.
