Laura and Alex, two best friends, embark on an Interrail journey across Europe. After a night of partying in Warsaw, Laura wakes up naked in a stranger’s bed, with no memory of what happened. As the two Swedish women travel through Prague, Berlin, and Paris, fragments of that night come back to her, and Laura’s doubts intensify, pushing her to confront her own limits in a search for truth and self-discovery.
The debut film by Fanny Ovesen is a vibrant coming-of-age story, based on patient and attentive observation, allowing emotional truth to show through in the small gestures. At the heart of Live a Little is an intimate portrait of female friendship, and the outstanding performance of Embla Ingelman-Sundberg as Laura makes her an actress to watch.
