Thompson Springs is a five-piece blues and rock band from Chicago, known for their distinctive, hazy songwriting described by PBS as "western rock." Their musical style is characterized by a nostalgic and adventurous sound, blending classic blues and rock influences with a touch of mystery. Driven by a passion for storytelling and exploration, the band has toured across Europe, New Zealand, and the United States. Detroit Public Radio (WDET) notes that their sound is inspired by legendary songwriters such as Tom Petty and also includes elements from contemporary indie artists like Kurt Vile. In 2020, Thompson Springs collaborated with Wilco’s Pat Sansone to produce their debut album, Undertones, released on Dropped Beauty Recordings.
