Seven Paintings – Seven Encounters invites the public to discover painting through a series of unique experiences. Seven major works from the Mudam collection will be presented one after another, each for several weeks, occupying the exhibition space alone. This presentation cycle, including mostly works never before shown at the museum, transforms the gallery into a space for silent contemplation and intimate encounters.
In this suspended context, time and space are experienced differently, opening paths to new ways of exhibiting, seeing, and experiencing artworks. Throughout this cycle, seven artistic practices successively unfold, each resonating differently with the history of painting. From Surrealism to Abstract Expressionism, from social engagement to formal experimentation, Seven Paintings – Seven Encounters highlights the diversity of pictorial creation.
