A moment of relaxation after work: "Why not enjoy a little peace and quiet?"
We would be delighted to invite you to our next Inspiring Afterwork which will take place on Thursday, February 19th at the Bahá'í Centre in Luxembourg City.
Theme: "Why not try peace for a while?"
“August 2. Germany has declared war on Russia. — Swimming lessons this afternoon.” These words appear in Franz Kafka’s diary in 1914, the day the First World War began. They powerfully remind us of two things: first, that our individual lives continue despite global upheavals; second, that while conflicts may have hindered humanity’s progress in the past, they in no way determine our future.
Like Kafka, we do not lose our free will in difficult times. In this creative workshop, we wish to explore the glimmers of hope that, in our daily lives, illuminate the path to peace. How can we cultivate tranquility and lightness within ourselves and spread them around us? And above all, how can we become true peacemakers in our immediate environment?
We will explore these questions through a series of short, thought-provoking excerpts from the Baháʼí Writings.
