As tradition since 2009 (Darwin’s 200th anniversary), the National Museum of Natural History invites, every year around the birthday of this great scientist (February 12), to a special guided tour that attempts to clarify Darwin's eventful life and the history of the theory of evolution, with reference to the temporary exhibition currently on display at the museum (animalECH in 2026), complementing the permanent exhibitions.
Darwin’s ideas and work have influenced many scientific and social fields. Due to the subject of the temporary exhibition, a special focus will be made in 2026 on his work "The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals". The museum will celebrate this special day over two days: February 12 and 15.
