Fidelity is not a political concept in itself, but an underlying condition of struggle and revolts, whether they are political, spiritual, cultural, community, family, historical, or contemporary. Céleste Thouin considers fidelity as the need to question and challenge one’s practice, working with photos, videos, stories, archival writings, and traditional practices. The exhibition draws inspiration from Occitan poems and songs. Through the creation of artisanal objects, the artist explores forgotten poetry and fosters collaborations, particularly with Lily Weisgerber, Thèophile Peris, and Alassane Dermé.
