The Great Expo – An immersion into the heart of the humanitarian emergency
See, hear, understand: an immersive exhibition that tells the story of humanitarian work from the inside.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) invites you to discover "The Great Expo," an immersive exhibition that transports the Luxembourg public to the heart of global humanitarian crises. From March 17 to 29, 2026, at the Parvis of the Neumünster Abbey Cultural Center, enjoy a unique experience in Luxembourg City and explore the daily lives of MSF teams in the field.
For the first time in Luxembourg, this traveling exhibition authentically recreates the medical and logistical operations deployed by MSF: access to medicines, migration, and treatment zones for malnutrition and epidemics. Thanks to this life-size setting, you experience firsthand the challenges of humanitarian action and are invited to reflect on essential questions: Where does drinking water come from in a disaster zone? How do we treat malnourished children? How do we work in refugee camps? And how do we combat diseases like Ebola or cholera?
An experience for everyone and for learning
"The Great Exhibition" is free and open to everyone: the general public, donors, students, and teachers. Visitors are guided by experienced field staff who share their stories, successes, and the challenges they face in emergency situations. For students and teachers, the exhibition offers educational and immersive workshops on managing humanitarian crises, providing a concrete and engaging tool for education in solidarity.
What you will discover:
A sensory immersion into the daily life of MSF interventions.
Direct exchanges with professionals in the field of humanitarian emergencies.
Educational resources and interactive workshops for teachers and students.
A heightened civic awareness regarding global health and solidarity issues.
Come see, touch and understand what it means to act in an emergency. Every act of solidarity takes on a concrete dimension here: care provided, lives saved, human stories to share.
Don't miss this human and participatory experience, which transports you to the heart of humanitarian action and reveals the real impact of solidarity commitment.
