The Remich Music Society is once again playing the Hämmelsmarsch for the fair through Remich, a kind of musical parade that announces the start of the festivities.
The Hämmelsmarsch is a typical Luxembourgish tradition: the local music society marches through the streets to invite everyone to the fair. In the past, a shepherd would lead the parade with his finest sheep.
During the Hämmelsmarsch, the music society collects donations, an important source of income for the club.
