From the introduction of the exhibition, at the entrance to the grand hall, visitors discover the new exhibition, which consists of printed texts, documents and objects in display cases, mechanical devices, audio recordings, films, projections, infographics, and interactive screens. While the exhibition mainly follows a thematic approach, two timelines – on the ground floor and first floor – allow interested visitors to dive into the details of the history.
To put faces to history, short biographies enable visitors to discover men and women who were directly involved. In 11 alcoves, 28 historical figures and 16 current residents of Luxembourg recount their lives as victims, civilians, or actors.
