At the end of 2025/26, Iranians once again take to the streets to protest against the mullahs' regime, sparking the novel "Im Herzen der Katze" by author Jina Khayyer. The narrator recalls past trips to Iran, the country where her sister lives and where she has previously participated in demonstrations. Khayyer has written a political, family, and emotional novel, bearing witness to a deep love for Iran. It is a book full of both anger and hope. At IPW, Jina Khayyer reads excerpts from "Im Herzen der Katze" and discusses her novel and the current situation in Iran with Henning Marmulla. Jina Khayyer is a writer, painter, and journalist, born in Germany with Iranian roots, living in Paris and Provence.
