Unravel sheds light on patriarchal implications through animation. Using yarn, threads, fabric, and 70mm film, this short film program transforms oppression: workers reclaim a textile factory, a grandmother knits a sheep from an unraveled wolf, and the shared memories of a mother and daughter are hand-sewn. An anarchic friendship defies class norms, sexual freedom celebrates desire, and sisterly bonds break isolation.
