From That Small Island (British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg)
Who are the Irish? Where did they come from? Where do they go? Six million people live on the island of Ireland, but over 80 million people worldwide say they are Irish. What does that mean?
Narrated by Colin Farrell and featuring an original score by Colm Mac Con Iomaire, the film was shot on location in 17 countries worldwide, and provides a compelling narrative of Ireland and the Irish people. This feature film is the centrepiece of a project which also has a companion four-part television series and an accompanying book forthcoming from Oxford University Press in 2026.
The film won the Outstanding International Documentary Award at the Newport Beach Film Festival in September.
Screening in the presence of Briona NicDhiarmada (producer).
