Sevillanas: Parts 3 & 4 (for all genders)
Sevillanas are a popular dance from Andalusia divided into 4 parts, often performed during festivals. They are danced to a three-beat rhythm.
Even though there are stylistic variations, the structure always remains the same, allowing two people—even strangers—to dance together without prior agreement, as if speaking a common language.
They are usually danced in pairs but can also be danced solo or in groups. Sevillanas are taught as a codified form, perfect for developing coordination, spatial awareness, and rhythm, all in a festive atmosphere.
There is no percussive footwork involved.
