In just a few years, humanity's relationship to the concept of truth has supposedly changed. It seems that today the winning strategy is the denial of facts and their replacement with a counter-narrative, without any concern for plausibility. This is a highly violent process for those exposed to it, and one can wonder if there is any hope left of engaging in dialogue on a common ground with such an interlocutor. This remains an essential prerequisite for any life in society.
Is this something new? Have we always lied on such a large scale? What consequences and what future do these latest developments hold for us?
