Welcome to the hypermarket of unlimited possibilities! Today's exclusive offers: emotions with expiration dates, blind dates with serial killers, and multiple life projects in family packs. Lost in the labyrinth of endless aisles, between cheap items and famous brands, we drown in the multitude of consumerist options. Who hasn't experienced this? Existential crisis in the refrigerated section: low-fat or full of sugar? True love or bargain hunting? Old ladies searching for their change at the checkout—still in the wrong line. HYSTERIKON is an ecstatic journey through the supermarket of life. With irony and cynicism, Ingrid Lausund describes self-discipline and the difficulty of making choices in an increasingly complex society. On the checkout conveyor belt, we confront our desires, hopes, and abysses. Promising advertising slogans blare from the loudspeakers, the cashier's voice blends with our own thoughts. Everyday scenes at the supermarket morph into collective hysteria. Everything has a price, especially life in turbocapitalism.
